Westminster Abbey

Ghosts at the Abbey

The Abbey is haunted by at least three ghosts - Father Benedictus, John Bradshaw and the Unknown Warrior from 1914.

Father Benedictus has been witnessed in the Cloisters and walks above the floor level. John Bradshaw tried and condemned King Charles I, and his spirit is now reported in the deanery. In other parts, the apparition of the Unknown Soldier has been reported.
